HOW TO PLANT A HANGING BASKET

1. Simply fit the liner into the basket

2. Half fill with fertilised potting mix before
side planting

3. To sideplant, poke a hole in the side of the liner
with your finger. Shake any excess soil off your
plant roots so they will easily slide through. Don’t
be afraid that this will damage your plants. In fact,
opening up the roots actually stimulates growth.

4. Gently ease the root ball through the hole you
have created. Space the plants out evenly all
around the basket and mix and match for
interesting effects.

5. Fill the basket, but make sure you leave a 1 inch
deep lip around the top of the basket. This will allow
the water to sit on the top and gently work its way
through the soil to the bottom of the basket, instead
of spilling over the sides of the basket.

6. Top plant as usual. Don’t worry if you feel there
is a little bit of soil showing through the sides of the
moss. It’s not a problem because when wet the moss
will swell up covering any gaps and securing your
plants. Water thoroughly when planting is finished.
